Your first visit, explained.
Knowing what happens before you arrive takes most of the worry out of a dental visit. Here is exactly how your first appointment at Pramukh works, what to bring, and how we keep it comfortable from the moment you walk in.
What to expect on your first visit
Welcome and history
We sit down and talk through your concern, your dental history and any medical conditions or medicines. No rushing, no judgement.
Examination and imaging
Dr. Chinmay examines your teeth and gums, and takes a digital X-ray or 3D scan only where it is needed to see the full picture.
Diagnosis and plan
You get a clear explanation of what is going on and your options, with an itemised, written cost estimate before anything is decided.
Your decision
You choose what happens next, at your own pace. Simple problems can often be treated the same day if you want to go ahead.
What to bring
- Any previous X-rays, reports or prescriptions you have
- A list of the medicines you currently take
- Your questions, written down so nothing is forgotten
If you feel anxious
Most dental fear comes from not knowing what is about to happen. We explain every step before we do it. If you want a break or have a question mid-treatment, you raise your hand and we stop. There is no rushing here.
Safety and sterilisation
Every instrument is sterilised in a Class-B autoclave, the same grade used in hospital operating theatres, and comes to you in a sealed, dated pouch. You are welcome to ask to see the sterilisation log at any visit.
Payment made simple
You always get a complete, itemised cost estimate in writing before treatment begins, so there are no surprises. We accept cash and cards, and No Cost EMI is available on larger treatments so the cost can be spread over months.
First visit questions
How long does the first visit take?
Usually 30 to 45 minutes. That is enough time for a thorough examination, any imaging that is needed, and a full explanation of your options. Same-day treatment, if you choose it, is additional.
Will I get treatment on the first visit?
Often, yes. Simple problems like a filling can usually be treated the same day. For anything more involved, the first visit is about an accurate diagnosis and a clear plan, so you can decide with full information.
Do I need an appointment or can I walk in?
We recommend booking so you are seen without a long wait, and you can book by phone or WhatsApp. If you are in pain, call us and we keep emergency slots open every day.
Have a question before you come in?
Call or message us any time. We are happy to explain anything about your visit before you book.
